Boku Wa Tomodachi Episode 9

Well like Persona, it was a bit of a disappointment this week for me in Boku Wa as well, though admittedly for different reasons.












The art, the music, I got nothing to say about them except for them being as beautiful as always, arguably one of the best animated shows out there I'd say. Furthermore the music queues well and sounds moving, and fits what occurs in the show. The voice acting is like always top-notch. My complaint is the story's direction.

They hardly addressed Yozora in this episode and how she's feeling. I wanted Kodaka to maybe feel bad about neglecting Yozora but no, everyone acts as if nothing happened. *sigh* In fact the episode was all about Kodaka and Sena AGAIN! I don't want Sena with that much screen time! Where's my Yozora?! When SH*T is on the line, like Kodaka's love, she doesn't lift a finger BUT instead opts out in favor of allowing nature to run it's course... WHAT THE F*CK??? I want misguided emotion to dictate Yozora's actions in the form of a back-stabbing plan in an attempt to aggressively win over Kodaka. Is it too much to ask for, to see a cat fight? Sheesh.

Now, it won't be a problem as long as Yozora sooner than later steps up to the plate and throws Sena out of the picture. Hell, Sena can have Kobato since she's so obsessed with some kind of younger sister complex, or what ever I don't care anymore. Poor Rika too, practically selling her body but Kodaka smoothly blowing her off hahaha. Anywho, the show definitely is building it up. I felt so bad when Yozora knew that Sena and Kodaka would be together and then she was alone in the club with only the perverted Rika(reading mecha-porn probably) and an ever silent Yuki. But while Kodaka DID see Sena's voluptuous nude body(I have never found myself in such a lucky situation except MAYBE sorta kinda once, but it wasn't THAT awesome) I think Yozora is still in the running with her chances not too far gone from the bonding Sena and Kodaka did. But again I feel the emotion we have for Yozora, the show will soon capitalize on it, with Yozora having the kind of moment Chihaya and Taishi just had in Chihayafuru!(wait that's bad because then Kodaka will do what Chihaya did and find that she loves the other person more!)

Boku Wa Tomodachi Episode 8

Well I like where the show is heading. They'll be REALLY touching upon the Kodaka Yozora debacle very soon I feel. Unless they pull a "you expect HUGE character developments but were going to give some crazy scenario or explanation and nothing will have progressed until the last episode". I hope not but I feel that will be the case, because Yozora left early, and instead of it being because she felt neglected by Kodaka it will be because her and Rika were sick. Eh, if they do it well either case will be fine.

Boy do I know how Yozora and Rika felt... Black Friday shopping anyone? Holy Christ it was a cluster F*CK the likes of which I'd only heard about in legend up till now. One cheap DVD took about fifteen minutes in a line to buy, aye yai yai. That's what the pool reminded me of, everyone looks like their having fun but me, and like Sena with my self pretentious attitude on life think "you ignorant sheep, why come when I decide to shop once every 3 months!?" but alas they probably think the same thing. So many PEOPLE!

As for the Yuki and Kodaka thing.... Man if I met a dude that looked like that I'd probably just say holy crap you look like a chick, just so I wouldn't feel awkward, haha he even blushed and I can't really Blame him lol.
























Saddest thing was when Yozora left alone. Why weren't her and Rika at least sitting together? Do they not understand that just because they're fellow club members doesn't mean they can't... I dunno... BE FRIENDS ALSO!? Aren't you usually friends with those you bond and share interests with? It makes no sense! Also on another note, I don't know how old Kobato is, but if she's like 13 or 14 stripping in front of her bro... And MAKING him watch, that's sorta.. I mean that's just f*CKING kinda weird I think, I mean come on, I'd been like "put some freaking clothes on!" but I dunno, it feels like a forced anime fetish thing. Anyway I hope that HUGE character developements will come soon, I'll just have to wait, but at least only a week and not a few months like the manga!

Persona 4 the Animation Episode 8

Right now I've logged probably ABOUT 16 hours on the game(I'm obsessed, it is so good!)and I've just now got to the Kanji case. I think I'm close to catching up with the anime, with the whole camping episode. The anime is so LOYAL to the game it's amazing. The show is basically the games cut-scenes. Anyway I loved this weeks episode.

It was slapstick humor and some character development which for the most part involved Naru and Hana trying to "get at the girls". Who can blame them? I'd probably be doing the same thing :P man those chicks were loving the attention when they were wearing bathing suits even though they were acting like they didn't like it, pshh. The mistake was when Hana told them their bodies weren't mature. That is one thing you NEVER! Tell a girl after she's 13 years old, as secretly that's all they care about, and I guess dudes are the same. No one wants to be the last of ANYTHING. No one wants to be the last one with a beard, pubic hair, breasts, muscles, child bearing hips, adult features, in a race, to lose virginity, to have a kid, to marry... List goes on, in the fact the only things you don't want to be first in is contracting diseases, death(unless your a parent and you don't want your kids first) and the first in line during a war.

I enjoyed when they touched upon Kanji's sexual orientation again. At most he's probably bi-sexual but in my opinion he's not homo-sexual at all, BUT that's just my thinking who knows? But if being all wrapped up in that burly woman's love and blushing wasn't enough, the loss at winning her love is definitely gonna convince you ;)

As for Konishi's brother... That's sad. You'd think if someone was suffering you'd make it an absolute POINT to cheer them up, NOT smother them in condolences however, anymore than a "I'm sorry" but even better just talk to them and be there for them when they need it. When they need to talk they will. Naru gets big kudos for looking out for Saki's bro.

Boku Wa Tomodachi Episode 6

Things are getting VERY interesting especially for me who is also following the manga. Now if I remember correctly it went like one manga chapter a month but suddenly I feel I read 2 in like a months time. I bring this up because I winder if the manga will start cranking them out one a week or not? I highly doubt this, and feel as though the manga will have no longer be the decider in story direction since this episode OFFICIALLY caught up to the latest maga release. But I wonder, is the mange quite a few chapters ahead and decides to release basically one a month? Because if the anime was following it how could it have done the karaoke episode almost exactly like the manga(the anime focused alot more in how Sena and Yozora are in love with Kodaka and are especially cruel to eachother more so than in the manga)when it just came out? There's no way they just quickly made an anime episode version of the chapter? Is the anime finished before release or are people in a studio working their a$s off to make an episode a week or two before it comes out? I find that hard to imagine. So there might be one or two more chapters the anime is aware of and then it will go on it's own path, but stick with the same premise and plans the manga has or at least I imagine this to be the case. Its exciting because I get to see what happens next and not half to wait a month. Anywho, it was quite the episode. It was strange though, because I'd just read it, I felt like I'd already watched it, very uncomfortable de javué. I even imagine the voice actors when I read it now that I know how they sound. But they speak english and when I think about Japanese I understand it in English, I wonder what it's like to be bi-lingual but before I get too off topic I'd like to say the brain is amazing!

Rika was notably trying to get some alone time with Kodaka which Yozora also liking Kidaka tactically avoided their possible alone time with a group trip. I don't get why Yozora us going about this the way she is... She doesn't have the courage to be with Kodaka Alone or tell him how she feels but Rika is making an attempt(even Yuki seems like he is.... Probably just adoration) to be with Kodaka and win him even making clear how she likes him but is so open with her feelings it is less of a built up awkward confession where rejection can result but simply stating a fact that Kodaka can only be flattered by, allowing the relationship room to blosom. Even so I think Yozora doesn't want to make her self vulnerable and take the risk BUT at the same time still kind of have Kodaka to herself. You can't gave it all, it's not fair to anyone.

Now don't get me wrong since they are childhood friends(Kodaka is a foo!) I want their coupling, you know, the whole destined love thing... Yea, I guess I'm an ideal romantic oh well haha. But I hate when people don't convey their feelings, or at least in such a dysfunctional fashion. But now that Sena is flaunting the two of their future alone time(Sena and Kodaka's personnal hangout under the pretense Kodaka is visiting Sena's dad, which is probably all there is to it for Kodaka, him being the tender foot he is) I'm thinking a jealous Yozora will rise to the occasion feeling that Kodaka is slipping away or it could take a tsundere like route which I will despise... Either way good stuff.

Oh yea and who goes to a karaoke bar place to sing alone just so they feel that they're beating the man?! In comparison to the manga it was VERY depressing to see them alone and it wasn't comical like it had been... I hate seeing people sad especially when it's due to lonliness because it's the easiest problem to fix. Get up and engage someone(your not as misunderstood as you think, trust me, everyone brings their own pile of sh*t to the table ;)) And one more thing..... Why after talking with someone or feeling embarrassed to people in anime run away in either the opposite direction OR even the SAME direction!?!??? Is it just me? Am I the only one not running from girls after I am done talking with them slightly blushing and skipping away or running away from my buds. I'd say "why are you running away?" Even funnier when they run ahead, why not stay and walk with the person and talk? I run in 3 circumstances. I'm playing sports, I'm being hunted by something(hasn't happened...yet) or three the walking dead is coming on. People in anime run too much. And Sena was no exception, panting like a buffalo after running for like.7 seconds! I am a huge burly animal and even when I was hauling a$s after a runningback who got past my line I'd huff, puff, and regulate my breathing again. Oh well it's not that big a deal, I'm just a sick-o! But my favorite part of the karaoke place is when Yozora and Sena inadvertently sing a very cute duet together which had lyrics, that when accompanied by a montage of moments each shared with Kodaka, implied they both had fallen in love with him. Very touching scene.

Persona 4 the Animation Episode 5

*disclaimer*-Yes screen caps use piss yellow subs- I loved it!(yes I know I LOVE alot of things haha, but this was an especially good episode for me.

While some might say it was filler not having TOO much to do with finding the person responsible for putting people inside the television/otherworld place. BUT I thought it was a nice break up from the previously formulaic pattern they were using(not that I minded it). The character bonding and development was invaluable to the story and I really appreciated it, smiling and chuckling a few times. It also sort of showed what th group will probably be doing meeting new people that are at risk and either preventing it OR saving their a$s. Now one thing that was a SUPER MILD complaint from me was that Amagi didn't get much in the way of screen time. I want more Amagi da*mit! Lol, still Naru thoroughly entertained me as I watch him develop into a less souless person and some one with personality. Naru reminds me alot of myself when surrounded by people I either don't know or I feel I can be the bada$s at that moment. Very few know I'm as silly as I am :P

This episode was ALL about Naru and a VERY snobby looking girl(Ai) who in reality is just a bit frivolous and full of spite and vengeance for all the wrong that was done to her, everyone has a reason for why they do what they do or how they act(unless they just want to see the world burn like the joker does, and even HE had a reason). Well Naru I must say is a big guy at least it looks that way BUT this could just be character design, which is somewhat lanky. Either way he looks like 5 foot 10 or so but then again in Chihayafuru those two dudes especially Arata look tall but they're only like 5"8, I'm about 6 and a 1/2 feet tall so that means if I was in the show I'd tower over them. But I like Naru so I'll say he's like a 6 foot bada$s.

HAHA!Everyone misinterpreting the other!

Anyway Sato wants him to help with basketball due to being tough and having a good athletic build. And thus the nightmare start for my main man Narukami haha. That nightmare in the form of a stuck up school beauty that the boys see as aneasy and loose booty call. She lost all that weight and changed her personality to be one everyone would be jealous of and admire and find someone to love her, instead finding a bunch of jerks that talk trash behind her back. Even though she was mean to Naru, he was the chivalrous knight and ran after her to look after her. I must say he makes Keith stone(known for being smooth) look like sand paper. So in treating Ai just like human should, with care and respect she wants to be courted by him. Now before this courting Naru joins the basket ball club at Ichi's beseeching. So now on the team he meets Ai and one morning she invites him on an outing for "club supplies" really just Ai's own personal shopping which Naru figured recognizing Ai as the sycophant she is. Some trust is gained yada yada, then back at the gym the boys are being boys just trashing and gossiping Ai's goodname(is it good even lol?). But Ichi tells them to stop, Ai heard all of this and thinking shes depressed or angry Naru chases after her where we learn shes actually getting the hots for Ichi who stuck up for her. This leads to Naru trying to see if Ichi likes Ai on Ai's request, long story short Ai learns that Ichi likes Sato, then some claims of suicide and comforting later Naru is now "dating" Ai until she feels better and Naru as a result is in hell because Ichi also wants to be set up with Sato and Sato is worried about Naru and Ai interprets that as a jealous crush, Ai will be jealous of Sato because Ichi likes Sato, Hana thinks Sato likes Naru and is jealous of Ai, BUT none of that is true and then Naru doesn't understand why Hana is saying things like ladies men and game of love. At one moment all the characters involved are on screen and you KNOW everyone is misinterpreting the other and we have a big cluster f*ck of misconceptions and assumption that leads to an even BIGGER fiasco, I LOVED IT! At the center is our poor bast*rd Narukami. I have been that guy SO MANY TIMES all I could do was smile.

Oh man with that mess above leading to a cat fight(which no one stops, in fact Hana stopped in the middle of the practice just to say "ah, youth!", thinking they're competing for Naru's affection) and a resolution I was happy all the way until the end. Naru is so cool. He just gets led around accepts fate and when put at the precipice of what he'll allow fights off Ai's advances. Ai isn't so bad. She just needs to love her self for who she is instead of trying to become who she thinks others want her to be. Narukami looked out for everyone until the end. Sato definitely has an affinity for Naru(I wonder if they'll hook up?) and is oblivious to Ichi's feelings. Ichi is being a little b*tch and is making ridiculous obstacles in order to confess his love for Sato. Hana is the sage of love and in trying to do good makes a giant debacle oh I do enjoy the ironic cause of harm by trying to protect. As for Amagi....

Shes going to be back! She was on the roof after the shows ED was over. With everyone back together were all going to be right in the thick of it, trying to solve the cases and figure out who is the culprit. Some of my favorite comedy moments were Naru's ringtone for Ai, it was the cliche violin one that implies bad omens and trouble, lol! He even stayed strong for all the men out there and hung up on his lady only to call her back in fear of being chewed out later. Oh the power of women. Then when Ai is saying her heart was racing and Naru thinks it might be because of him she admits to liking Ichi and immediately the music cuts haha. And Naru is becoming more and more human, he even smiled in this episode after making a paper crane. Nice to see the enigmatic Narukami's hobbies and innocence every once in awhile.
